About Bee Money Savvy

Hi, I’m Emma, the Founder of Bee Money Savvy. I’m a recent graduate and first home owner, originally from Sheffield – now living in Leeds (UK). I created beemoneysavvy.com in 2017 to share financial hacks, tips and tricks. I run this website alongside working for the NHS as an Organisational Development Practitioner.

My motivation for writing about money comes from my parents. When I was a child my parents were given some bad financial advice from a bank that left them in debt. For 15 years they worked hard to earn more, spend less and pay off that debt. I’ve spent my whole life admiring the money-saving mentality and determination of my parents.

I do everything in my power to make my money work for me. In the past 5 years, I’ve explored 100’s of money-saving tools and side hustles, won £1,000’s from online competitions, bought my first home, and paid off the mortgage 2 years later. I share my financial journey through Bee Money Savvy. But I am not a financial advisor, I will never give specific financial advice, and you should always do your research to make sure that a financial product is right for you.

Today, my blog is my business and I earn a five-figure side income from blogging. Bee Money Savvy has been featured in several national newspapers and this year won Money Blogger of the Year at the British Bank Awards. I’m always happy to talk to the media and I have a media kit available that I can send to anyone thinking of working in partnership.

How this blog earns money?

All views expressed on beemoneysavvy.com are those of the writer. I only share deals and offers that I truly believe can earn you money or help you to better manage your money. But I wouldn’t be a very good money blogger if I didn’t find ways to monetise my content.

Bee Money Savvy is funded through sponsorship, affiliate links and advertising on the site. Therefore, some of the links used on this site are “affiliate links”. By clicking on an affiliate link or advert, I might be given a small commission for referring you to that website. However, these links do not affect the price you pay. It’s really appreciated when you click through from Bee Money Savvy to buy things, as it helps fund the time I spend researching and writing the content for this site.

I accept advertisement opportunities from organisations that share my values. But payment will never affect the deals I share.

Ethical Influencer

I love running this site, helping people to improve their financial situation, and sharing my money journey. I believe that it’s important to remember my values when creating content, and I aim to be an ‘ethical influencer’ (this is an ongoing process).

As the goal of Bee Money Savvy is to help people achieve their own version of financial freedom – I DO NOT work with sites that promote careless money management; these include, but are not limited to: gambling and payday loan websites.

As well as blogging about money, I think that it’s important for us to do our bit for the planet. I recently joined the Ethical Influencers network where I’m looking forward to collaborating with sustainable and socially conscious brands.
