Hedonova Review – Alternative assets, one fund

AD – Collaborative post.

This is not financial advice. Your capital is at risk with any type of investment; profits may be subject to tax; and the value of any investment could fall.

With rising inflation, poor savings rates and a spotlight on money right now, investing is a hot topic. Everyone is talking about crypto, real estate and NFTs. But with so many alternative investment options it’s hard to know where your money is best placed and how you can achieve a truly diverse fund.

This is where Hedonova comes to the rescue. Hedonova grants accredited investors access to a whole host of alternative investments using a single fund. These alternative assets include wine, art, startups, carbon credits, and litigation funding to name a few.

Who are Hedonova?

Founded in 2020, Hedonova is a team of 16 investors, economists, researchers, engineers, and marketers. Co-founders Alexander Cavendish and Suman Bannerjee started Hedonova to allow anyone invest in anything they want, anywhere they want.

Alex’s career panned across UBS and Morgan Stanley and, Suman Bannerjee previously managed a $5 billion alternative investment book. They also have Sharan Hegde, a finance content creator who has worked extensively with CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. The team are incredibly well placed to handle your money.

Take a look at Hedonova’s list of alternative investment portfolio:

  • Art (20.5% historical returns)
  • Real estate (19.4% historical returns)
  • Startups (86.7 historical returns)
  • Agriculture (26.3% historical returns)
  • Students (14% historical returns)
  • Equipment funding (19.6% historical returns)

Other investments include: Cryptos, NFTs and Web3, Listed equities, EM P2P Lending, Media Royalties, VC/PE funds, Litigation Finance and Wine.

How to start investing?

There are several offerings on the Hedonova platform that are limited to accredited investors only. To get started, investors will need to express interest by filling in the form on the Hedonovawebsite – as required by SEC regulations, you need to have at least one communication before any investment is made. You can also get in touch via scheduled call or WhatsApp. An expert will be on hand to explain the process and initiate KYC formalities.

Once all the KYC-related formalities are done, investors can add capital to their Hedonova account and start investing with as little as $1000.

Hedonova is an open-ended fund, meaning investors can exit at any time. You can invest and exit any time you want – there are no entry or exit charges. You are able to request a partial or full redemption using your investment dashboard or by contacting Hedonova via email. The time required for redemption varies but can take up to 30 days.

A look at the Fees

As stated above, Hedonova allows a minimum investment of $1000; which is one of the lowest compared to many alternative assetplatforms.

Hedonova then charge its investors the following fees:

  • 1% management fee – charged at the time of investment and then on an annual basis.
  • 10% performance fee – charged annually at the end of a year.

Hedonova’s fee is 60% lower than the industry average and included in that fee you’ll get a dedicated investment professional to support you with taxation, compliance, portfolio and other related support.

Hedonova Review

It’s clear to see that Hedonova is a promising investment platform – their positive Trustpilot reviews and ‘excellent’ rating speaks for itself. Hedonova’s investment team would be my first choice when it comes to alternative assets. I’m becoming increasingly more interested in non-traditional investments – especially with a growing number (historically) outperforming the S&P 500. Diagram below.

The fees are reasonable and still offer lots of potential gains – net return of 55.2% IRR. I’m always talking about the importance of a diverse portfolio and Hedonova is well diversified across access classes, geographies and risk profiles.

They have a page dedicated to their values including “Work backward from the customer” and “It is better to do one thing really really well” – I love everything that they’re aiming to achieve with Hedonova and can’t wait to follow their progress.

Hedonova’s security offering are SEC qualified under 506(c) exemption of Regulation D of the Securities Act of 1933. You can visit the EDGAR database for qualification documents.
