How to Earn Money from Receipts
I’ve actually made money from my receipts (and sometimes other peoples) – it’s really easy to do, you just need to take a picture of them and then upload them to these money earning websites and apps. Your receipts are used for market research about consumer behaviour. But your data is completely anonymous, and your personal data will never be sold or passed on to third parties without your consent. Here are the best apps/websites that will pay you for pictures of your receipts:
Shoppix is an app that will give you 25 points (30 if you upload on the day of purchase) for every receipt that you upload! It’s super simple to do & once you reach £5 you can cash out via PayPal, Amazon credit or love2shop voucher. You can only upload one receipt per shop per day (so it’s no use stealing receipts that were left on the counter before you).
Top tip: Try to upload them on the day – you get a 5 point bonus if you do this, keep your eye out for extra bonuses & surveys (I got 100 points just for opening the app on Christmas day). Use code 4CSE6DVO for a 200 point bonus when you sign up!
Receipt Hog is very similar to Shoppix; it’s an app that rewards you when you upload your receipts. Receipt Hog is really easy to use & once you reach £5 you can cash out via PayPal or Amazon. One advantage to Shoppix is that you can upload three receipts per shop per day (so you can grab the receipts that were left on the counter before you).
Top tip: Get your family/friends to pass you any receipts they get (or grab the ones left at the counter on your way out!). Keep your eye out for extra bonuses such as the Hog Slots (you can win anything from 2000 points, £66 or one of their daily trips). You also get more points for higher value receipts.
ClickSnap by Quidco
Get cashback on your shopping with ClickSnap – upload receipts (using the Quidco website/ClickSnap app) from Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s & more. For every receipt that you successfully upload you’ll be rewarded with 1p, be entered into a prize draw to win £200 & get cashback on any items that are on the offers page.
Top tip: Remember to check the app when you’re out shopping for any new freebies, check your friends/family’s receipts (with their permission) to see if they’ve bought anything that’s on offer on the app.
TopCashback Snap and Save
Using the TopCashback website or app, you can upload receipts & get cashback from any items that are on the snap and save page. I’ve had free Easter eggs, sweets, soup and shower gel! If you’re not already signed up to TopCashback you need to do so now, I’ve earned over £350 from them now!
Top tip: Download the Topcashback app and check the snap & save page (in-store>groceries) regular. And check your friends/family’s receipts (with their permission) to see if they’ve bought anything that’s on offer on the groceries page.
Get a range of FREE food, drinks & beauty products from your local Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose & more when you upload your receipts to the Shopmium app!
Top tip: Use code AEFAMUGY for free chocolate (offer varies) when you sign up! Remember to check for offers regularly when you’re out shopping as some freebies are limited. Hold on to your receipt until your cashback is confirmed – sometimes they can request a clearer picture!
Snap My Eats
SnapMyEats is an easy to use app where you can earn free rewards just for snapping pictures of receipts from your food shops. They pay £1 (in amazon vouchers) per 3 receipts snapped. And you can earn up to £5 per month! You are paid in Amazon vouchers which are sent out automatically each month.
I’ve only just discovered this app but it’s looking to be a great money saving app! With ZipZero you upload all your receipts (the higher value the better), you then get 1% of your receipts value back in cashback via the app to spend on household bills. You can use your ZipZero credit to pay for any bills including broadband, energy or council tax, you’ll just need the bank details of the company your bills are with any your customer reference number.
