£500 Fundraising Challenge

In the past few years, beemoneysavvy.com has really developed. It all started in 2017 as a bit of a hobby, and something to do in my spare time, but last year it was nominated as one of the UK’s top money-making blogs, featured in 2 national newspapers, and helped me fund buying my first home. This success prompted me to think about how I can give back. There are so many pressing issues happening in our society and across the world right now that it seems only right to play my part in promoting good causes, raising money for charity and doing better for my community and planet. Therefore, this year I’m setting myself the aim of raising £500 for good causes.

I’ll be recording my fundraising progress on this blog post throughout the year. If you’d like to join in, I’ll be sharing some easy, effortless ways to raise money for charity as well as showcasing some amazing charities. Here’s a monthly breakdown of my fundraising efforts so far:

January Fundraising Total = £55.85

Australian Red Cross – £5 (+ £5 matched donation) – Gener8Ads earnings

Parts of Australia are experiencing unprecedented bushfire activity. The Australian Red Cross is supporting thousands of people affected by the bushfires by supporting people at evacuation centres and recovery hubs, providing psychological first aid to reduce trauma, and developing longer-term recovery programs in disaster-affected communities.

My £5 donation comes from my Gener8Ads earnings. Gener8 allows you to earn tokens every time you see an ad on the internet. Then exchange these tokens for money, products or donate to charity.
