There’s an increasing demand for teaching English as a second language online. Thus, if you have experience in teaching English, then you may want to consider working as an online tutor. It can be one of the best side jobs for teachers because it allows you to earn more money from the comfort of your own home, with your own schedule, and doing more of what you love – teaching.

Many teachers have found success by offering private tutoring services to students who need additional support or guidance. They can do private tutoring, either in-person or online, and set their own rates and schedules. Blogging is by far my favourite side hustle. It allows you the freedom to choose your own work pattern, dip in and out of work and opens up so many new opportunities to work with your favourite brands.

3. Become A Virtual Assistant 

Typically, the primary job of a virtual assistant is to help a business or business person manage their workload and organise their emails/appointments. Their tasks can include writing reports, scheduling events, handling databases, and much more dependent on the type of business. 

Therefore, if you’re the kind of teacher who loves organisation, working as a virtual assistant can be good way of earning money on the side. There are many freelance and part-time virtual assistant positions online to choose from. 

You may be able to find a virtual assistant role through mainstream job board websites such as monster.co.uk, reed.co.uk and Linkedin.

5. Answer Surveys Online

Being a teacher can an incredibly demanding job. With all the things that you need to do such as making lesson plans and worksheets, teaching the students all day, and many more, your hands may be full with several teaching responsibilities, making it difficult to make money on the side. 

Thus, if you’re looking to earn some income without having to spend too much time, you could consider taking free surveys online. While it doesn’t provide you with a huge amount of side income, it can still add up in time. All you have to do is look for a reliable survey website, answer surveys honestly, and get paid for your opinion. Unlike other side jobs, answering surveys doesn’t take so much of your time (or effort), making it a convenient option.
